Welcome to Athens!

The cradle of ideas, now home to new ones. During the World Beautiful Business Forum, May 7-10, 2026, our main venue will be the Olympia City Musical Theatre “Maria Callas,” located in the very heart of the city. Most sessions will take place here—with lunches, dinners, and additional programming occurring in more than a dozen Pavilions and pop-up spaces within a short walking radius (see map further below).

While accommodation is not included in your pass, we have carefully curated a selection of hotels that are within walking distance or a short ride from the theater to make your stay comfortable, inspiring, and seamlessly connected to the event.

Central neighborhoods such as **Syntagma,** bustling Monastiraki and Psyrri, **old-Athens Plaka, and posh Kolonaki, are ideal for easy access to the Olympia City Musical Theater Maria Callas, lively streets, and a quintessential Athenian experience—but you are of course welcome to stay anywhere in the city. Bohemian, intellectual/creative Pagranti and **Mets, anarchist-yet-gentrified Exarchia, or the Acropolis-near-yet-charming and artsy Koukaki (one of our pavilions will be here) are other convenient, and more residential, choices, located only one or two subway stops from the city center.

Easy Guide to Neighborhoods

Syntagma

The civic center of Athens and one of its most convenient areas. Steps from major metro lines, cafés, shops, and the Maria Callas Theater, Syntagma offers effortless access to nearly everything.

Plaka

Athens’ historic old town, known for its neoclassical houses, pedestrian lanes, and charming cafés. It’s lively during the day, calm at night, and ideal for wandering between sessions.

Kolonaki

An upscale, elegant neighborhood at the foot of Lycabettus Hill. Quiet streets, boutique shops, and great coffee spots make it a refined and comfortable place to stay, while still being close to the venue.

Psyrri

Vibrant, creative, and full of energy. Psyrri has a mix of small galleries, bars, restaurants, and artisan workshops. Great for guests who enjoy a lively atmosphere and late-night options.

Monastiraki

A lively crossroads of markets, rooftop bars, and Acropolis views. Busy and full of character, Monastiraki is perfect for guests who want to be in the heart of the city’s pulse.

Omonia (Central Athens)

A central commercial district undergoing rapid revitalization, with easy transport access and newer boutique hotels. Livelier and more urban, suitable for guests comfortable in busy city environments. Can still be a bit sketchy at night.

Koukaki

A friendly, increasingly popular neighborhood south of the Acropolis, full of café terraces, wine bars, and local restaurants. Only 1–2 metro stops from Syntagma, with a relaxed local feel.
